Floriculture Teaching, Research and Extension Area (NEFLOR – Study Center on Floriculture and Landscaping).

The floriculture area is located in the Canguiri Experimental Stations Center, whose purpose is to generate scientific and technical knowledge to advance the exploration of flowers and other ornamental plants in Curitiba and the metropolitan region. In the Sector are allocated several species of ornamentals adapted to the climate of the region under ecological cultivation. These plants carry out research, extension activities and practical classes in the disciplines offered by the Sector. The area also houses the NEFLOR-Center for Studies in Floriculture and Landscaping, formed by undergraduate and graduate students.

Areas of expertise

Propagation and cultural management of flowers and ornamental plants of temperate, subtropical and tropical climate.

Structure

Laboratory, theoretical classroom, substrate preparation and planting shed, fertilizer and substrate storage room, warehouse, greenhouse, greenhouse, nursery and NEFLOR headquarters.
