Study of the fundamentals of integrated pest management in major crops. Establishment of damage thresholds and pest control levels. Natural mortality of pests in the agroecosystem. Mechanisms of action of insecticides, toxicology, and selectivity. Compatibility between synthetic and biological insecticides.
